Is there a minimum spend?
There is no minimum spend as such, however many of our packages are based on minimum numbers. If your event has numbers below our minimum please contact us for a custom quote.
What happens if I end up with less numbers than what I originally confirmed for?
We require final numbers to be confirmed for your event 14 days prior, therefore if your numbers have dropped from your original enquiry we will simply go off the confirmed number provided at this stage. If your numbers decrease after the 14 days you will still need to pay for the number of guests you confirmed.
Do you allow 18th & 21st birthday parties to take place at your venue?
No unfortunately, we do not allow them.
Is there local accommodation available?
There is approximately 120 beds within a 10-15 minute drive from the venue. We have a number of options we can recommend to you.
What’s the best way to get to the venue from Brisbane if I do not want my guests & I to drive?
There are a few different options we can recommend to you here. You could suggest to your guests to look in to booking accommodation in the local area or there is the option of booking a bus to transport your guests to and from Kalbar from a designated meeting spot. Please contact us for further information.
If your packages are not suitable to my needs, am I able to arrange a custom quote?
Yes, we can absolutely arrange a custom quote for you based on your specific requirements.
Does venue hire include a bump in allowance?
Yes, we allow a 1hr bump in allowance for any social or corporate event bookings.
Can I decorate the venue myself?
Yes, you are welcome to decorate the venue yourself, however please keep in mind the 1hr bump in allowance. We can certainly arrange additional time for you if needed although there will be an additional charge for this.
Am I allowed to bring in my own caterer?
We do not allow external caterers to be brought on site. We do have a number of different catering options available so please contact us if you are looking for something specific that may not be listed in our packages.
Do you offer multi-day booking discounts?
Yes we do. Just speak to us when you are in the planning process.
What audio visual equipment do you have available and do I have to pay extra to use these facilities?
We have a number of different audio visual equipment available for you to use including microphone, wifi, Bluetooth and television screen for powerpoint presentations/videos. This equipment is included in your booking fee and you do not need to pay extra for these.
Is the venue wheelchair friendly?
Yes, the venue is wheelchair friendly and easily accessible.
Is the venue BYO?
We are fully licenced therefore the venue is not BYO. We have a number of options for beverage service throughout your event. We have beverage packages available, you can put on a bar tab or even have an open bar for your guests to purchase their own drinks.
